When their flight from Japanese imprisonment brings them together they begin a desperate escape across the mountains of Korea. Pursuing them, a relentless Military Surgeon, clinging to a Japanese past, set to crumble around him.

Mothers Swam is a story reaching across continents, from The Empire of the Sun, to the Busan Perimeter. It tells of a tragic, yet hopeful journey, of a beautiful land torn apart, and of a love battling to survive and rise through an era.
